Configuration Steps

Seven steps to a locked-down portal

01
Access Control

Restrict self-registration

Disable public student sign-ups so only administrators can provision accounts — closing the front door to unauthorized users and keeping full control over who enters.

Navigation path Look & Feel Website Disable Student registration
Why it matters Closes the front door. No random sign-ups — every account is intentional.
02
Privacy

Remove courses from public catalog

Switch each course's visibility to Private or Unlisted so they never surface in any public-facing catalog, search result, or recommendation feed.

Per course Each course Visibility Private or Unlisted
Why it matters Courses become invite-only. Invisible to anyone outside your organization.
03
Organization

Create student groups

Spin up groups named by department, cohort, or role — e.g. "Sales Team Q3" or "Engineering Onboarding" — to keep learners organized and targetable as a unit.

Navigation path Users Student Groups New Group
Why it matters Groups become the backbone of how you assign, track, and report on learning.
04
Enrollment

Add learners to groups

Populate each group with the right learners. Bulk-add by email or select from existing users — one action enrolls many, and members can be in multiple groups.

Navigation path Users Student Groups Select Group Add members
Why it matters One bulk action replaces dozens of individual enrollments. Easy to scale, easy to audit.
05
Access Control

Enroll groups in courses

Attach course materials to each group. Every member automatically gains access — no per-learner enrollment needed, and future joiners inherit access instantly.

Navigation path Users Student Groups Select Group Material Add Materials
Why it matters Add a course once — every current and future group member gets it automatically.
06
Assessment

Configure assessments & passing rules

Define what completion means for each course: pass scores, attempt limits, randomized question order, and whether certificates auto-issue on success.

Per course, set Pass score Attempt limits Randomized Qs Certificate issuance
Why it matters Defines what "done" means — and what learners earn for getting there.
07
Branding

Apply white-label branding

Make the portal unmistakably yours. Upload your logo, set brand colors, and configure a custom domain so the URL matches your business — inside and out.

Look & Feel Upload logo Set brand colors Configure custom domain
Why it matters The portal becomes a seamless extension of your internal brand — not a third-party tool.
End State · After 7 Steps

A closed, organized, branded academy — ready for your team.

No public registration. No public catalog. Just the right learners, in the right groups, with the right access — under your own logo and domain.

Closed access

Only admins provision accounts. No public registration, no leaks.

Hidden catalog

Every course is private or unlisted. Invisible to the outside world.

Group-based enrollment

Add a course once, every group member gets it — current and future.

Branded experience

Your logo, your colors, your domain. A portal that feels like home.
