Google Analytics Tracking

Where to find it: Look & Feel > Website > Advanced

The Google Analytics ID field connects your student portal to your Google Analytics 4 property so you can track visitor traffic, page views, and student engagement directly in your GA4 dashboard.

This field is optional. Your portal works normally without it.

What you'll need

A Google Analytics 4 measurement ID for your property. It follows the format G-XXXXXXXXXX and can be found in your GA4 account under Admin > Data Streams > [your stream] > Measurement ID.

If you haven't set up a GA4 property yet, you'll need to do that first at analytics.google.com.

How to add your ID

  1. Go to Look & Feel > Website > Advanced.
  2. Scroll to the Google Analytics ID section.
  3. Paste your Measurement ID into the field (e.g., G-P225PQH1SD).
  4. Save your changes.

Once saved, the tracking code is automatically embedded in your student portal. Allow 24–48 hours for data to start appearing in GA4.

What gets tracked

Google Analytics will track activity on your student portal pages, including page views, session data, and traffic sources. For deeper event tracking (such as course completions or quiz submissions), you would set up custom events in GA4 using the Measurement ID as the data source.

Notes

  • This ID applies to your student portal only. It does not affect your main website unless you add the same ID there separately.
  • eProfessor does not share or store your analytics data. The Measurement ID simply tells GA4 which property to send portal traffic to.
